GENERAL OBJECTIVES:
This course intends to empower students to become more independent learners, by
resorting to digital tools and resources that enable them to learn by themselves in a
digital environment.
SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES:
- To foster independent learning in a digital environment;
- To help students become more autonomous learners;
- To provide the students with practical know-how on how to use digital
tools for independent learning; - To equip students with strategies on how to search and find the most
suitable digital tools to be used in their field of studies/during their
studies and later on in their career as professionals; - To get students acquainted with digital project management tools;
- To improve students’ intercultural and interpersonal communication
skills and their presentation skills; - To excel students English language skills through studying in English
and working in international teams where English is the working
language.
EXPECTED LEARNING OUTCOMES:
Upon the completion of the course in Independent Learning Strategies in a Digital
Environment, students are expected to:
- become more autonomous learners;
- be familiar with digital tools for independent learning;
- implement independent digital learning strategies;
- overcome language barriers by resorting to technology;
- create content in a digital environment;
- resort to project development tools;
- improve communication and presentation skills;
- improve skills that enable them to work in intercultural teams.
